Set in splendour within a country estate, Walcot Hall overlooks a mile-long lake and rolling parkland with the Shropshire Hills in the distance.
To the rear is a purpose built, free-standing Ballroom with 30ft high ornate ceilings, crystal chandeliers, open fireplaces and tall sash windows all set within acres of beautiful gardens and Arboretum.
Should you choose to host your wedding here, you can be sure of a day that is not packaged in any way. In the first place, you are offered the rare luxury of time; this venue can be hired for a 48 hour period, allowing you a whole day before the wedding to see all your planning come to fruition and complete the fine tuning of arrangements and decorations.
Secondly you have exclusive use of the venue for your wedding. You will not be bumping into another bride, or have unknown guests turning up to the wrong wedding. What is more, you can invite up to 65 guests to make a weekend of it and stay within the self-catering accommodation on the estate.
Thirdly, there are no hard and fast rules imposed unnecessarily. Depending on your ideas, where possible we will always try to realise them. For example: can I provide my own drinks at no extra charge? Can I have any caterer I wish? Can the party continue past midnight? Can I have a carousel in the garden? Can I arrive by helicopter? – the simple answer to all these questions is yes!
Walcot Hall has a choice of three rooms licensed for civil marriages and partnerships, allowing couples to host their entire wedding celebrations within the estate. However, you do not need to be married here in order to use the Hall for your wedding reception.
Part of the unique charm of Walcot Hall is that it lends itself to different themes extremely well. Whether you’re looking for formal or informal, traditional or alternative, interest for the young or old, this venue can cater for them all.
